Music at St Paul’s

Music and sung worship is one of the ways we express our love for our great God who loves us so much he sent his one and only Son Jesus to die for us on the cross.

As it says in Colossians 3:16; Ipoh “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Also, Psalms 150:6; buy disulfiram pills “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!”

Our aim at St. Paul’s is to glorify God and build up his people by singing together. We sing a range of classic hymns and contemporary songs of praise.  By singing songs and hymns with great words and music, we give God the honour and glory he deserves, and we grow in our love of God together.

We believe that God loves people of all ages and musical preference, so we try to reflect that in the songs we sing. In other words, we aim to offer something for everyone!

We are always on the lookout for musicians and singers who are believers of the one almighty God and sovereign Lord, to develop this important ministry. If you play piano or another instrument, we would love to hear from you! We have other musicians who play occasionally (Trumpet and flute) and additionally brass band who play at our Christmas carol service.

Anyone interested in the music at St Paul’s should contact James Pope, Music Coordinator on email via the Church Office.

St Paul’s has an organ on which the late Mr Jim Green recorded some music to demonstrate the sounds available. We do not use the organ so much these days but there is a range of music available in the links provided.  click here for pieces by various composers and here for some pieces by JS Bach.  And some favourite pieces are recorded here
