House Groups

We have had groups that have met during the week for some time at St. Paul 's. Currently we have five– they are described below. People have found that belonging to a house group has given them a bit more time to get to know people, to learn and pray with others and time to think through some of the concerns and issues they have. Often coming to church on a Sunday is just not enough to be able to develop our questioning or maybe we just work better in small groups where we can find our voice amongst a group of people we come to trust. It is increasingly clear that we cannot meet the needs of everyone on a Sunday morning in an hour and a quarter which is why we have the Sunday Club, the variety of worship and also why the house groups are so important. They are just as much ‘church' as what we do in the building on a Sunday morning.

We have three house groups at St. Paul 's

Wednesday a.m Venusians - A group for women exploring faith in God through contemporary issues, books and films. All are welcome – just come along to any event that takes your fancy! Details are in the church magazine.  Just click on the Magazine tab.

Thursday morning group

This meets in church after the Holy Communion service held each week at 10am .

Every other Thursday evening

This  housegroup meets on alternate Thursday evenings at 1, Twin Oaks Close, Broadstone.

The house groups have been an important part in the growth of St. Paul's – not just numerically, but in depth and in the confidence of those involved – if you would like to take part in a group, please have a chat with Helen Mellows
