“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16)
“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!” (Psalm 150:6)
Our aim at St. Paul’s is to glorify God and build up his people by singing the best of the old and the best of the new. To that end we sing a fairly even mix of classic hymns and contemporary songs of praise. By singing songs and hymns with great words and music we give God the honour and glory he deserves and we grow in our love of God together.
We believe that God loves people of all ages and musical taste so we try to reflect that in the songs we sing. In other words we hope there will be something for everyone!

The main keyboard duties are shared by John Martindale and Jim Green (who play the piano and the buy disulfiram pills 3-manual organ). A small group of singers leads the worship each week. There are currently 6 singers on the rota, and we need more – if you have a pleasant voice and the courage to sing “out front” we will be happy to include you in our music team. We have other musicians who play occasionally (guitar and flute). We are always on the lookout for musicians to develop this important ministry so if this is something you are interested in please let us know!
Anyone interested in the music at St Paul’s should contact Jim Green (01202 605311) or email to Jim Green).
We are raising funds to improve the sound at St Paul’s. Click here to see details of a Four new CDs of piano, organ and choir music.
